My Main Goal..
The goal of my website would be to give whoever reads this a better understanding of Sir Gawain and how he is presented into the stories his character is included in. Hes a brave knight who always is sure to follow the knightly code of chivalry. His character is included into many tales involving arthur and even his own stories including the tale of The Green Knight.
Womens Roll in Chivalry?
The roll of the queen and her ladies was to please the king and his knights. They did what they were told when they were told to do so. Pleaseing the men who would protect the country was a very satisfing way to prover theyre loyalty to the brave men of the town.
The Feudal System is a way the goverment based on obligations between the lord or king and the vassal. Its the way everyone in the town works and peoples place in there town. The king would give his largest estates to his closest friends and family. Peasants would have to work for land and do what they needed. Nobles were told to never fight against the king, and they kept there promise. Serfs were practically like servants and served only to make the kind happy.
Jousting
Jousting is a certain fight between two knights wearing armor while riding horses. The two horses carrying the two knights and their lances. During the middle ages, jousting was considered a favorite form of entertainment. It took place during tournaments, which provided a public venue for the knights to participate in. The tournaments were exciting. They was numerous colorful banners hanging around, and each displayed a different form of combat.
